Development Postcards

As property owners, a postcard is mailed to you when a new development or a parcel is proposing some change.  The change could be related to zoning, grade elevations to support drainage, building and development for a single home or a community, or an existing homeowner that is requesting changes. 

Whatever the proposed intent, this Association will try to follow the more curious and impactful applications as we are made aware.

both items were APPEALED and the Appeal was denied.  Current status: Applicant has been denied CLV municipal connections due to violation of the Interlocal Agreement.

McGillis Investment Co., LLP         

Applicant is proposing a single-story funeral home utilizing both parcels as a single development project.  The funeral home will service the community and the existing cemetery across the street.  Access drives will be off Lone Mountain and Tenaya.  Facility will be approx. 11,625 sqft with an interior courtyard, a gathering space for funeral services, and a required embalming room.  Applicant has also noted they are working on a strategic design and growth plan to continue to offer burial and cremation options

There are 117 parking spaces and perimeter landscaping.   Hours of operation are anticipated as 7 days a week, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with the occasional possibility of an evening ceremony.  Staff states it "can support" this applicant and has recommended approval. Planning Commission voted to approve 6 : 1  (Nguyen)

Applicant is requesting to Vacate and Abandon a portion of the Right-Of-Way along Tenaya to correctly develop the road width and establish the property boundary line.  This is a normal procedure.  Staff recommends approval. Planning Commission voted to approve 6 : 1  (Nguyen)
